LineStats is a tool for software developers and project managers that enables them to get an accurate line count of source code or ASCII text files.
This utility counts lines in all files in the use-selected directory and in all of its subdirectories.
In addition to counting lines, LineStats also shows how many blank lines each file contains. Using graphical user interface it is easy to configure the tool to look for new file extensions.
The tool also allows a user to configure new comment styles and edit the existing ones. LineStats can save results in a formatted text file, in a comma delimited CSV file or in an XML file. LineStats features the ability to count commented out lines and effective lines of code. Also the tool allows the user to define new comment styles.
